I've always loved that quote for so many reason. When I was younger I thought it meant that the life you get is the one plan for... Boy was I wrong... Life is just the opposite. My grandmother used say you want to make God laugh, tell him what you have planned... I miss her, but that is a conversation for a different day. So as I got a into my mid 20's I worked so hard that I never got to plan anything and life just passed me by. So after I had my daughter I had all these great ideas and trips planned in my head and of course they never happened... So I realized that yes you do have to plan because doing things last minute can become expensive but what is most important is that you do them...

So recently I've been working really hard to cross some things off of my career bucket list. As you can tell I am a person that plans even more now than before. So I make tons of to-do list for both my personal life as well as for my business so that I can stay on top of the important as well as the not so important stuff. My biggest problem with that is life has a way of altering your plans. Well not this time I was determined to get a huge chunk of this list done... and I did. Then here goes that quote again... but this time is wasn't while I was making plans it was while I was executing some other plans. By the time I looked up from my completed task list. Life had happen. Clothes need to be washed... the dishwasher needed to be unloaded... the floor needed to be swept and mopped after our art project, and my living room needed to be transformed back a living instead of the think tank/office that it was currently looked like. LIFE had happen. Now here I was completely drained; mentally and physically. My work wasn't done I had to take of my life that I neglected due to working to hard.

So I hope you plan... I also hope you do the things you plan on doing... and I hope you don't forget to take care of the little things that make up a big part of your life... the worst thing you can do is miss out on life...
